Federal Government Comes Under Fire for 'Assistance' From Unlikely Source

Since the Coronavirus hit in 2020 and the government in America started closing tens of thousands of businesses, millions of Americans have been free falling toward the poverty line, and there is seemingly nothing there to stop the downfall. No matter which political side claims they're helping, it's all about talking a good game for support and then just making the issues worse. But, hey, at least hungry people can blame Russia or the former administration or anything other than politicians who ran on being able to fix problems! In reality, the "blame game" has long past worn thin, and suffering Americans are sick and tired of hearing about whose fault it is. They just want the problems fixed. And even traditionally leftist media sources are starting to turn on the Biden administration, like The Hill.
The Hill has a long history of shilling so hard for Democratic politicians that one would be forgiven for thinking that they were a literal Democrat propaganda outlet. However, The Hill tore into the Biden admin early this week, with a scathing op-ed about how the government seems to be creating problems, claiming that they're solving them, but then just making them worse. A lot of the article speaks about government assistance programs and how the government seems to be forcing millions of Americans onto them to survive. At this current juncture in America, the majority of Americans are on some form of assistance. This has never happened in America before. In fact, it has never happened in any country, in the history of Earth, that has survived. When more than half of a citizenry needs handouts to exist, something is broken.
Instead of even attempting to fix what is broken, however, the Biden administration wants to do two things and two things only:
1: Blame Russia
Russia attacked Ukraine, and they are war criminals for it. This is a war of Vladimir Putin's making. No one doubts that. No one questions that. But there is a limit to how far the whole "Russia is bad" excuse can carry things. Joe Biden and his administration have failed at bringing new businesses back. They have failed at supply chain issues. They have failed at getting inflation under wraps. The only thing the Biden admin has succeeded at, in economic terms, is thrusting another 40 million Americans below the poverty line with reckless abandon, while another few million plunge toward it. These things are in-country issues, which are contained with America, and can no way be blamed on Putin and Russia. Yet instead of trying to do anything whatsoever to fix these problems, Biden is content to give another few billion dollars to Ukraine, while having his Press Secretary tell the media how great America is doing.
2: Blame Trump
As The Hill points out, and as many of Biden's critics have pointed out since 2021, the entire Presidential administration, along with every elected politician in his party, refuses to acknowledge that they are responsible for fixing the problems with America. Instead, they merely blame Donald Trump and the "MAGA Republicans" for making these problems. Even if this were the case, as The Hill pointed out, Biden ran on the promise of cleaning up Trump's mess. Failing to do so, and just making things worse, and then giving some dictator-like speech and shouting how it's everyone else's fault, is the polar opposite of leadership. Instead of doing things to help actual Americans, Joe Biden is propped up on a stage that looks like Vladimir Lenin and the Red Terror is about to punish the Kulaks in the Soviet Union. He had a chance to speak about America's issues financially, and instead dedicated over an hour to shouting about how his political opponents must be stopped. Scary stuff!
Government Assistance is What The Government Wants to Give
As The Hill so eloquently pointed out: America's federal government is not in the business of solving problems. Democrats have zero faith that you will still vote for them, unless you have an urgent reason to do so. For instance, you must vote for Joe Biden to stop fascism and these MAGA Republicans! You must vote for Democrats to stop the fabled White supremacy! But how about voting for politicians to improve Americans' lives? Whatever happened to helping?
More Americans than ever before are on government assistance programs and the literal only way the government seems to be helping is by increasing the programs. Imagine a doctor just giving you more pain medicine instead of closing your wound. This is where America is currently at.
